EVERY OUTDOOR PARTY NEEDS A SIGNATURE COCKTAIL
Nothing says summer in Maine like blueberries! This recipe comes from The Cocktail Garden by Ed Loveday with illustrations by Adriana Picker, and it is positively decious!
5-6 Blueberries, Plus Extra to Granish
2 fl oz Gin (2 shots)
1 fl oz Lime Juice
6 Thai Basil Leaves
1 fl oz Simple Syrup
Step 1: Prepare your simple syrup. Put 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water into a saucepan. Stir the two ingredients and bring to a light boil. Turn down the heat and simmer until all of the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat cover with a lid and let cool.
Step 2: Muddle the blueberries in the bottom of a shaker
Step 3: Add the remaining ingrtedients and shake hard with ice
Step 4: Filter though a fine-meshed strainer into a martini or coupe glass
Step 5: Garnish with a few blueberries
